Amanda Butterworth, Senior Director, Digital

Favorite Airport: Atlanta Hartsfield
InFlight Reading: Whatever my latest book is on my eReader – not during take-off or landing, of course!
Drink from the beverage cart: Mini bottle of champagne. Love the bubbly at 30,000 feet!

Amanda designed and coded her first website at age 12 (we won’t tell you how long ago that was).

As a co-founder and Senior Director of Digital for OttoPilot, she keeps our team (and our clients) on a strict diet of ROI with sides of creativity, technology, and a garnish of fun. As the most technically-trained and -minded member of our team, Amanda is often found updating HTML or a WordPress template with one hand while updating project milestones and to-dos for the team with the other.

She has over 10 years of professional experience (not started at age 12) with implementing digital strategies, building digital tools, and running online campaigns. For our OttoPilot clients, you can find her watching fresh campaigns in real-time to ensure optimization and to alter paths when conversion rates are not up to par.

From social media to lead generation to SEO to workflow design, Amanda knows which digital tools to use to achieve the desired benchmarks and client goals. She has worked closely with luxury brands, lifestyle companies, e-commerce, strategy consulting firms, event companies, and international consumer products.

Despite her early affinity to technology and computers, Amanda pursued and received a degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia (Wahoowa!). Going back to her first love after a year in architecture, she found her education to actually complement her real world experience because of its focus on structure yet its encouragement of creativity.

Amanda is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia and loves to cook and snowboard. She has not yet figured out how to do them simultaneously. She should build an app for that.
